DIAMOND_GEEZER_56 asked:

For the past 3 and a bit hours I have been trying to get logged on with no joy. I am using my new laptop connected wirelessly to my bt home hub, my 3 year old Sony vio that I gave to my youngest son logged on with no probs, the Sony has an external ewireless unit fitted and is weorking well..Another prob I keep on getting when I first sign in is a menue that drops saying failed to initialise please shut down and restart.

I have been going nuts all night then all of a sudden as I said to my wife, I will try once more then bingo it fired up.

Have any of you guys on bt yahoo had same prob tonight ? what about others? prob lasted from just before 9pm till midnight GMT.

Lots of people have raised similar complaints. There is no conclusion as to why. Some contend it is an issue with the BETA mail.

Doubtfull anyone else having similar problem. Best way to get on the Internet wirelessly is to let windows configure it, same as
connecting to Wi Fi . If your router is secured, the only info Wdw’s will ask for is the security code. (Encryption Key) Type it in when prompted and your on your way.
My computer (Dell) has two separate utilities for wireless connection. The Dell utility has to be configured manually,(real
pain!). Clicking on the Dell wireless icon will disconnect the Wdw’s utility and it will no longer work until you shut the Dell utility off completely and take extreme care not to activate it while trying to get the Wdw’s operating again! The Dell manual does not clarify this at all. Creates a real confusion! You end up attempting to connect mixing up instructions and everything’s a mess until you realize there’s two separate utilities. The Wdw’s is completely automatic, real simple!
Don’t know if your sit is similar but it may be! Hope this helps!
