P.Doff asked:

I’m in Sheffield (England). I don’t know much about computers.
I have ‘free’ Orange broadband. If I do ‘office work’ and don’t use the net for a short period, on trying to surf again, a message appears ‘Explorer cannot display the web page’, even though it was working fine 15 minutes before. All the settings are set up properly. Diagnostics suggest a ‘cable connection fault ‘..not so..and ‘could not make connection to HTTP, HTTPS and FTP’..(whatever they are)…It also gives me ‘error 12007′. The only way to recover it is to use the ‘restore my computer to a previous state’ option..and Bingo! ..it’s back on again. So the cables MUST be connected properly eh? What the hell is all that about?
Any help appreciated…Cheers
